Actions carried out for which the
CEL Millennium Challenge Certificate was awarded
on October 9th and 10th, 1999

1. Plant trees and maintain surrounding church land

2. Used fairly traded tea and coffee for all church events
3. Held regular sales of fairly traded foodstuffs and gifts - Traidcraft
4. Hold regular sales of Reusable goods (jumble!)
5. Supported Green Transport Week 13-21 June 1998
6. Use of environmentally-friendly cleaning products in church premises
7. Use of prayers for environmental concerns
8. Exhibition in church hallway of display created by a local school about
wildlife areas created in their grounds
9. Give one of the monthly "retiring collections" to CEL
10. Provision of separate bins in church kitchen to facilitate recycling of plastic, card, paper and cans by all groups using the church premises.
