The European Christian Environmental Network

The European Christian Environmental Network (ECEN) held its first meeting in 1998

The official ECEN website is www.ecen.org.and has been redisgned and updated in July 2006 - so have a look!. It has news of developments in different European countries

Conferences/Meetings

Mulheim -1995 - May - "Protecting our environment - Safeguarding God's Creation". First Conference for commissioners for the Environment of European Churches. email for copy of lively personal account that was printed in Green Christians.

Graz 1997 - Second Ecumenical European Assembly of the Conference of European Churches. It was at this Assembly that it was decided that ECEN should form. Several members of CEL attended, and ranworkshops. We had a large stall in the Assembly "Market Place" and enjoyed meeting people from many different countries.

Creationtime - Resources- Creationtime is an opportunity to celebrate and care for God's Creation. 1st Sept to the second Sunday in Oct. However the materials can be used at a suitable service at any time of year.
