- Used water efficiently: In all toilets "baby hippos' supplied by local authorities are used to limit the use of water
- Used prayers for environmental concerns: In one liturgy, usually well attended by guests and visitors, we use environmental bidding prayers
- Organic smallholding with native trees and wildlife areas: Planted smallholding with over 50 native trees. Encourage wildlife with corridors along hedges and streams and leaving large pond to revert to wetland with advice from the FWAG representative

- Demonstrate the above to visitors: Explaining to schools who come to visit the farm and garden the basics and benefits of organic growing. Explaining this to 'young offenders' and community service men who work with us twice a week
- Run an ecology stall in the tourist bookshop An ecology stall in one tourist shop - booklets, leaflets and hand done photo and text cards by sisters which sell very well
- Inserted at least one energy efficient light bulb: All bulbs in chapel and some in house are energy efficient
- Maintain the CEL Postal lending library: Maintain the Christian Ecology Link Postal lending library which is available to visitors and guests
- Used fair trade goods: Coffee and tea from Traidcraft
- Affiliated to local Agenda 21:
- Use eco-friendly household cleaners: All household cleaners etc are 'Black' biodegradable
- Future project: this autumn to plant a small wildflower/butterfly meadow in conjunction with a neighbour who breeds butterflies.
