Scarborough CEL Conference Pictures

Rev Sam Norton, guest speaker said:

"Transition issues are to this generation what slavery was for William Wilberforce, it is how we are being called to love our neighbour"

Over 50 particiapants came to the Weekend Conference organised by CEL at the Green Gables Hotel, Scarborough. The majority came by train and the main food offered was vegetarian, apart from where people had ordered vegan food.

"Christian Ecology Link has launched a support network - 'Churches in Transition' - to enable Christians and their churches to become more involved in the Transition Towns movement.

The network comprises a broad interdenominational alliance of those who feel the call to live green Christian lifestyles and have an important role to play in supporting their local Transition Towns initiatives".
