RETREAT 2008

Staying on the Edge: new vision, new energy
led by members of CEL
The Retreat will be a follow on from the previous retreat,
"A Spirituality for the Long Haul". We will reflect, pray and worship
together gaining energy of prophetic resistance.
Also – ‘Sparks in the Darkness’ the celebration of stories and
crafts to brighten the winter days and look forward
to the coming spring.
To book, please send in this form together with your deposit. If you
need more details about the Retreat and the accommodation
please get in touch with Ringsfield Hall: 01502 713020,
or info@ringsfield-hall.co.uk
or Ringsfield Hall, CEL Retreat, Beccles, NR34 8JR. The theme was inspired by words from Peter Day following CEL's Storm of Hope anniversary event in London last July. Peter wrote that 'CEL has to keep pushing ideas into the mix so that it stays on the edge, rather than becoming received opinion.' The weekend will have a loose structure of reflection, prayer and worship, and time out in the grounds of Ringsfield Hall and the surrounding countryside. All meals over the weekend will be provided.
Ringsfield Hall is about four miles from Beccles in Suffolk . Trains run from London Liverpool Street to Beccles, some direct, some with one change at Ipswich . We will arrange transport form Beccles station to Ringsfield. Alternatively a direct train runs from Nottingham , through Grantham and Peterborough to Norwich . A bus runs regularly from Norwich to Beccles, and again transport can be arranged from the bus stop to Ringsfield.
After the Retreat has finished ...
There is the opportunity to stay on after the Retreat for a night or two, or as many as you want until the following Friday morning (February 22). This time together after the Retreat will be done on a shared self-catering basis. We will be able to live together 'in community' enjoying each other, God's creation in the surrounding area, and more ' Sparks in the Darkness'. Just indicate the number of extra nights you would like to stay on after the retreat, or make your mind up when you get there.
Bring your 'logs' of weariness and winter blues to throw on the fire, share 'sparks' of hope, good news and stories, leave with 'firebrands' of ideas, creativity and initiative.
