Meeting thoughts
Judith Allinson writes:
CEL Steering Committee met on the morning of Saturday 11th 2009. In the afternoon we held a members discussion meeting and discussed the credit crunch - A stricken economy - finding a prophetic voice .
We talked about comparing countries by the happiness rating rather than by their gross national product.
How does one encourage happiness?
I got one answer as I walked back for the train. .. I walked through a street festival. What a variety of faces of different races and family fun. I watched mothers watching their children bungee/trampolining, heard rap music, heard a man singing a song based on "Love music, hate racism".

Heard a group play great Irish music,
Bought a rice dish from an Indian stall to eat on the train.
Bought a fish cake (was it chillie, hot, hot!) from some Jamaican looking ladies. A real community event I was glad to share in. Thank you.
