Working for a Greener Church

We are responsible for our impact on God's creation as a whole. CEL helps members to understand and relate these responsibilities to their faith. Members can then encourage others in their local church to think seriously about these issues.

  • Operation Noah (encouraging a Christian response to climate change). CEL did much of the work in Setting up Operation Noah on behalf of CTBI. Operation Noah now has its own staff.

  • ChurchLink (a scheme to produce a twice yearly simple environmental sheet free for churches) - In April 2008 the new CEL Storm of Hope Brochure will replace the spring ChurchLink leaflet.
  • LOAF Food Campaign:

    O .. Organically grown
    A ... Animal friendly
    F ... Fairly traded

Download and use CEL's LOAF placemats
  • Ecoteams

Finance

CEL is entirely dependent on Membership subscriptions and donations.

CEL welcomes donations towards the cost of office work, organising meetings, the website and especially towards the cost of publication of materials, leaflets and postage for use at events, schools etc. Please consider donating online

Denominational Teams / Contact Group Pages

CEL has denominational teams so that some members can be more effective by involving their own denominations. If you are a member of CEL and would like to be put in contact with members of your own denomination please contact CEL's information officer above.
